Learn. Create. Vibe. Inspire.
I’m an educator and lifelong learner passionate about reimagining music education through creativity, equity, and care—and about building understanding and community among neurodivergent educators.

Neurodivergent Educator, PhD Student, Adjudicator, Musician, Mom, Wife, Friend, Coach
After 15 years leading a thriving high school music program, I’ve learned that the most powerful learning happens when students take the lead. My work bridges the worlds of education and research — from co-developing PEI’s Popular Music Performance curriculum and directing the Three Oaks R&B Band to pursuing my PhD in education focused on agency, creativity, and equity.
I’m also a neurodiverse educator who's passionate about helping teachers and learners thrive through understanding, compassion, and authentic connection.

Popular Music Performance
Co-creator of PEI’s Popular Music Performance curriculum, I’ve helped reimagine what high school music can be—centered on creativity, collaboration, and student voice. The program connects real-world musicianship with inclusive, authentic learning that resonates beyond the classroom.

Adjudication Services
As an experienced adjudicator, I focus on constructive, encouraging feedback that supports growth, confidence, and artistry. My goal is to help young musicians and educators reflect, connect, and celebrate the joy of live performance.

Neurodiversity Focus
Drawing from lived experience as a neurodiverse educator and researcher, I explore how understanding executive functioning and neurodiversity can transform teaching and learning. Through workshops and coaching, I aim to help neurodiverse educators better understand how their differently wired brains face challenges, but more importantly, bring unique gifts to the teaching profession. Together, we can move away from the 'deficits' to embrace possibility, empathy, and community.

PhD Research
My doctoral research examines how creativity, agency, and equity shape belonging and transformation in secondary music education. By studying lived classroom experiences, I aim to amplify the voices of students and educators creating new pathways for meaningful music learning.

Receiving an inaugural Kerri Wynne MacLeod Women of Impact Award for Women in Music - March 2024. Chosen among 140+ nominations in honor of my work in music education on Prince Edward Island.
